New Report Reveals 1 in 20 Public School Students attend Charter Schools 
A new charter school market share report from the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools reveals some exciting facts about charter school growth in the United States. 
  • 1 in 20 public school students in the U.S. attends a charter school
  • In 135 American school districts, at least 10 percent of public school students attend charter schools
  • Overall charter school enrollment in the U.S. increased by approximately 225,000 students during the 2012-2013 school year
  • There are now more than 2.3 million students attending U.S charter schools
Closer to home, this report ranks Denver Public Schools in the top 10 of American school districts with the highest growth in public charter schools students in 2012-13.
